Alice S. Reinhart

Alice S. (Podlaski) Reinhart, age 91, of West Homestead, peacefully passed away on July 19, 2021. Alice was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Ciarkowski) Podlaski and the wife of the late John E. Reinhart. Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her sister Helen Vehec and her brother John A. Podlaski. Alice is survived by her children, Matthew (Andrea) Harkins, Lynn (Ken) Smith and Marion (Jason) Webster. She was the beloved grandma to Chris Harkins, Jen (Gene) Poeppert, Katie Smith, Wyatt and Miranda Webster. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy and she loved them so very much. Alice worked for PPG Industries and Masterworks as a bookkeeper, clerk and manager from 1947 until her retirement in 1995 at locations in Homestead, McKeesport and Mt. Lebanon. She was a devout catholic who loved her church, St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish in Homestead, very much. Besides her children and grandchildren. Alice is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and her fur grand babies, Dixie, Buddy and Toby. She will be greatly missed. Rest in Peace. We all love you very much. Friends received at the William R. Welsh Funeral Home, 309 East 10th Avenue, Homestead on Wednesday 1:00 to 9:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at at St. Thomas the Apostle - St. Maximilian Kolbe Church, Homestead, on Thursday 10:00 AM, with Fr. E. Daniel Sweeney officiating. In leu of flowers, the family has requested donations sent to St. Maximilian Kolbe in her name as per her wishes.  Interment Homestead Cemetery.
