Margaret (Lis) Chervenak

Margaret (Lis) Chervenak died peacefully in the home where she was born 91 years ago, surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, January 30, 2018. She was the beloved daughter of the late Michael and Mary Lis and preceded in death by her cherished husband Steve "Chibs" Chervenak and her siblings Mary Lis, Anna Krolicky (Thomas), Juliana Plack (John), Walt Lis (Mary), Michael Lis (Regina), Stan Lis, Thaddeus "Ted" Lis (Mary), Edward "Scotty" Lis (Jennie), Dolores Lis, John Lis. A diehard Penguins fan, Margaret was proud to say that she lived her entire 91 years on Doyle Avenue in West Homestead. Her kindness and soup were legendary and she loved and was loved by everyone she ever met. She is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law, Margaret (Robert) Holder and Marianne (Charles) Priselac. Friends received at the William R. Welsh Funeral Home, 309 E. 10th Ave, Homestead, on Thursday 7-9 PM and Friday 2-4 and 6-9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, 10:00 AM at St. Maximilian Kolbe Church.
