James A. Ryan, Jr., age 87, of Munhall, PA, passed at home on December 4, 2020, surrounded by family. He was born to James A. and Catherine Ryan. After graduating from Munhall High, Jim and Dolores (Dolly) Urban were married in August of 1952. Their marriage of 68 years produced 5 children, 9 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Kathy Park, Mark James Ryan, Jack (Robin) Ryan, Barbara Ann (Rob) Burgunder, Maureen (Dan) Blankenship. Grandchildren who will miss "PA" are Jessica Stahl, Jamie Quinn, Jason Bogus, Emily Park, Megan Massaro, Casey Ryan, C.J. Ryan, Melissa Hine and B.J. Yot. Great grand children who loved "PA" dearly, Morgan, Ryan, Nate, Jake, Ben, R.J., Jackson, Callie, Jonah, Barriett, Will and James. Mr. Ryan served his country in the US Army, during the Korean War, A Company 61st Inf. Reg., Fort Carson CO / Camp Hale, Winter Assault Specialists. Jim was employed at US Steel Homestead works for 32 years. During their retirement years, Jim and Dolly enjoyed trips and cruises and time spent at their cabin near Ohiopyle. Friends received at the William R. Welsh Funeral Home, 309 E. 10th Ave, Homestead, on Sunday 2-6 PM. Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, 10:00 AM at St. Thomas the Apostle-St. Maximilian Kolbe Church. Everyone please meet at the church. Donations can be sent to St. Jude's Children Hospital or Catholic Charities. Social Distancing and Masks required.
