George J. Nestler

George J. Nestler, age 97, of Munhall on April 19, 2020.  Beloved husband of the late Dorothy L (Bangor) Nestler.  Father of Patricia A. (Ronald) Kos of Woodstock, GA, George E. (Ruthann) Nestler of Madison, WI, Robert L. Nestler of Munhall and Daniel J. Nestler of Homestead.  He is survived by 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.  Brother of Arthur Nestler, Robert Nestler, Thomas Nestler, Betty Strangis and the late Mary Seivers, Eleanor Lowry, Clare Colazzi, Bertha Reck, Ann Christy, Paul Nestler, John Nestler, James Nestler, Andrew Nestler, Catherine Nestler and Patricia Seaman.  George was a WWII veteran having served in the US Navy in the South Pacific on the USS Wintle.  He worked in the Homestead US Steel Mill for 40 years. He was a member of St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church, the American Legion and the Knights of Columbus.  The family will plan a memorial service for a future date.  Services are private, arrangements are entrusted to the William R. Welsh Funeral Home, Homestead
