SSgt Karl A. Bigda (Retired USAF), age 80 of Munhall, with his loved ones by his side, passed peacefully to God on Friday, May 1, 2015.  He was the beloved husband of the late Swita J. (Radanovic) Bigda and the loving Father of Katrina M. (Eric) Valchar.  He was also the loved nephew of the recently departed Martha Kenko and the charished God father of John Devlin, first cousin Nadine Devlin and second cousin of Zaden and Victoria Devlin.  Mr. Bigda was deeply committed to serving his country, retiring from the US Air Force Police Squadron after more than 28 years of service.  He also loved music and was an avid drummer.  Friends received at the William R. Welsh Funeral Home, 309 East 10th Ave, Homestead on Tuesday 2-4 & 6-8 PM.  Panachida service 7:30 PM.  Funeral Service, Wednesday, 10:30 AM at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, Homestead.  Interment at St. Nicholas Cemetery.
